Does your team know how to run what was implemented, or only how to press the button?
We train your team in GUEPARDO Tax and Tax Reform, after implementation and throughout the AMS Fiscal contract, so that technical knowledge of your SAP tax environment does not sit with one or two people.
DFSpro specializes in tax work in SAP and goes deep on two topics: GUEPARDO Tax and Tax Reform. We train teams in both, in the client's real environment, after implementation or during AMS Fiscal, so the knowledge does not stay with one or two people.

Two tracks of training, one goal
We train teams on two technical tracks: GUEPARDO Tax and Tax Reform. These are the two topics where DFSpro has real depth, and they are also the two places where we most often see knowledge held by a few people in the operations we serve.
On the GUEPARDO Tax track, training covers how the team reads Z rules, understands what each setting does, knows where to look when something differs from what is expected, and understands the line between an operational adjustment and a change that needs specialist help. It is not a generic course on the product: it is training applied to your company's real environment.
On the Tax Reform track, training covers what changes in the SAP tax architecture when CBS and IBS arrive: why running the current regime and the new regime side by side needs extra attention from the team, what Split Payment changes between tax and finance, and how the internal team follows this schedule without relying only on an outside partner to know what is happening.
The goal is the same on both tracks: reduce the dependence on unwritten knowledge held by one person, and put the internal team in a position to run, question, and support the environment with real technical independence.
The two moments when training makes sense
Training is not a one-off event with no place in time: it fits two concrete moments in the client's journey with DFSpro.
After implementation
Right after GUEPARDO Tax goes live, or after an important setup change is finished, the internal team must take over the new environment with confidence. This is the moment to gather, in a structured way, the knowledge that is usually scattered across emails, informal chats, and the memory of the people who were in the project.
This moment tends to coincide with the period of AMS Fiscal Stabilization, but the goal of training here is to build people, not to clear a technical incident.
During the AMS Fiscal
Over an AMS Fiscal contract (Stabilization or Continuous Governance), the team changes: people leave, join, or change roles. The law changes too, most of all the Tax Reform schedule between 2026 and 2033. Recurring training, built into the AMS Fiscal routine, is how you keep the team's knowledge in line with what the environment needs at each stage.
This links directly to the direct channel to a senior specialist that already exists inside Continuous Governance.
What happens when knowledge stays concentrated
A well-implemented SAP tax environment still depends on people to stay correct. When those people hold the knowledge and do not pass it on, the risk does not show at once: it shows at exactly the moment they leave or change roles.
Internal hero, overloaded
One or two people become the only reference point for the whole environment, with no cover for vacation, leave, or departure.
Rework when the team changes
When someone leaves, the knowledge leaves with them, and the time to rebuild that understanding is paid for in rework and in close errors.
Tax Reform treated as a surprise
Without ongoing training, each new step in the CBS and IBS schedule arrives as news, instead of something the team already expected and had studied.
Full dependence on the outside partner
Without internal training, every operational question becomes an outside ticket, even when the team could solve it with the right knowledge.
Training path
Maturity assessment
A review of the team's current knowledge against the real environment: who knows what, where the gaps are, and where the dependency risk is concentrated.
Path adjusted for each audience
Technical content matched to each participant's role: operations for key users, integration for IT, risk and schedule for leadership.
Sessions in the real environment
Examples and exercises based on your company's real setup, not on a generic demo environment.
Reference material and follow-up
A record of what was taught, for later use, and a channel for questions that come up after training, once the team is applying the content day to day.
Who this training is for
Content and technical depth change with who takes part. No session treats all audiences the same way.
Tax team
Understanding how each tax rule becomes a setting in GUEPARDO Tax, and how to tell when a result differs from what is expected.
IT and setup
A technical view of integration, Z rules, dependencies between modules, and what changes in the structure of the SAP tax architecture with CBS and IBS.
Key users
Safe day-to-day operation: screens, workflows, routine checks, and a clear rule for when to escalate a question.
Leadership (CFO, Tax Director, CIO)
An executive view of risk, the Tax Reform schedule, and team maturity, without going into the technical operation of the system.
How training is delivered
The exact format depends on team size, how urgent the moment is (after implementation versus the ongoing AMS Fiscal routine), and where the participants are located.
Structured path
A series of sessions that goes from the operational basics to the most sensitive points of setup and Tax Reform.
Topic workshop
A single session focused on one topic, such as the effect of Split Payment on the finance flow, or preparation for a specific step of the CBS and IBS schedule.
One-to-one mentoring or in a small group
Close support for the person who will take main technical responsibility for the environment, with a case study from the company's own environment.
Reference material
A written record of the content covered, for the team to use later. Hours, format, and any completion certificate vary by contract and must be confirmed directly with DFSpro.
What it is and what it is not
What it is
Technical training applied to the client's real environment, in GUEPARDO Tax and Tax Reform, adjusted for each audience and delivered after implementation or during the AMS Fiscal contract.
What it is not
It is not the implementation training given by the NTT DATA channel at go-live, it does not replace NTT DATA's official product support, and it does not include defining the company's tax position, a decision that stays with the client, with its own legal and tax advisers.
areas covered by a full training path
What you receive
- Maturity assessment of the team against the real environment.
- Path of sessions adjusted for each audience (tax, IT, key users, leadership).
- Reference material for later use.
- Channel for follow-up questions after the sessions.
Training is not Stabilization or Continuous Governance
Training can happen inside both continuity contracts that DFSpro offers, but its goal differs from the main goal of each. Comparing the three avoids confusion about scope when you decide what to buy.
AMS Fiscal Stabilization
- Main goal: contain incidents and stabilize the tax close after go-live
- Duration: fixed, 90 days
- Role of training here: a component that helps the team take over the new environment, not the main focus of the period
AMS Fiscal Continuous Governance
- Main goal: audit and keep the setup correct over time, on a recurring basis
- Duration: recurring, no fixed end
- Role of training here: keeps the team able to follow each audit cycle with real technical understanding
Training is the layer that builds people across both contracts above. It does not replace either one, and it can also be a separate project right after an implementation, even before any continuity contract is in place.
Why training must follow the schedule
Tax Reform is not a single event: it is a transition schedule that runs from 2026 to 2033, with different technical milestones in each phase. A team trained in 2026 for the symbolic CBS and IBS pilot is not automatically trained for the period when both regimes run together that starts in 2027, or for the four steps that phase out ICMS and ISS between 2029 and 2032.
Each milestone changes what the team must know how to run inside GUEPARDO Tax: in 2027, the full start of CBS and the end of PIS and Cofins call for new understanding of tax determination and tax assessment. While both regimes run together, the team must know which operation pays which tax, without letting one regime affect the calculation of the other. When Split Payment takes effect, from 2027, the finance team must also understand how payment at the moment of settlement changes cash reconciliation.
So treating training as a one-time event, done once and forgotten, is the same structural mistake as treating tax governance as a project that ends. Our technical advice is to update the training content at each important milestone of the schedule, within the AMS Fiscal routine, so the team reaches each step prepared, not surprised.
How to measure whether training worked
Training with no success test becomes decoration: the team attends, forgets, and the technical dependency problem is exactly the same six months later. So each DFSpro training path comes with concrete indicators that you can check inside the client's own environment, not a generic satisfaction survey at the end of the session.
Signs that training is working
- The internal team solves on its own a larger share of the questions that used to become outside tickets.
- More than one person can explain why a specific setup rule exists.
- The team expects a step in the Tax Reform schedule before anyone outside tells them.
- A new team member takes on technical responsibility faster than they would without a structured path.
Signs that you still need training
- Every operational question, even a simple one, still has to go through one person.
- The team knows the name of a rule but cannot explain its effect on the tax calculation.
- Leadership only learns of a change in the Tax Reform schedule when it is close to becoming an obligation.
These indicators do not replace a formal setup audit (see GUEPARDO Tax Governance). They measure what the team can do, not whether the environment is technically correct. The two measures complement each other, and the best approach is to track both over time, within an AMS Fiscal contract routine.
Signs that your team needs training
A technical checklist to see whether knowledge about the GUEPARDO Tax environment and Tax Reform sits with too few people:
- One person is the go-to for any question about GUEPARDO Tax.
- The team cannot explain why a specific setup rule exists.
- No one inside the company actively follows the steps of the Tax Reform schedule.
- New team members learn by trial and error, with no structured path.
- Leadership has no clear view of the technical maturity of its own tax team.
- The departure of a key person has already caused (or would cause) a serious delay in the tax close.
What supports this offer
DFSpro's authority on this topic comes from the same technical base as its other specialties: direct, ongoing work in GUEPARDO Tax and Tax Reform, in real SAP environments, with an accurate technical reading of the official schedule. Training here uses the same body of knowledge applied in GUEPARDO Tax Governance and CBS and IBS System Adaptation, aimed at passing that knowledge on to the client's team in a structured way.
Service boundary: DFSpro trains the team to run, understand, and question how the system behaves. The decision on which tax position to adopt in each case stays with the client, with its own legal and tax advisers.
This boundary applies to both the GUEPARDO Tax track and the Tax Reform track: on neither does DFSpro define the company's tax interpretation. It only makes sure the team understands how the system turns that interpretation into day-to-day practice, and knows when a question is only operational and when it needs the client's own legal and tax advice.
Where this fits
Training connects to the rest of the tax stabilization journey like this:
GUEPARDO Tax Governance
The setup audit that the trained team learns to read and maintain.
Tax Reform: CBS and IBS in SAP
The schedule that Tax Reform training follows, step by step.
AMS Fiscal Advisory: continuous governance
The recurring contract where training joins the audit routine.
SAP Tax Diagnostic
The review that usually reveals the knowledge gap that training closes.
Questions to guide your decision
01Is training the same thing as implementation training?+
No. Implementation training is the one-time handover given when GUEPARDO Tax goes live, usually by the NTT DATA channel in charge of the implementation. Training, as described here, is the ongoing work of passing real operational knowledge to your team after that first moment, either right after implementation or throughout an AMS Fiscal contract.
02Does this replace official NTT DATA support?+
No. DFSpro training focuses on how your team reads, sets up, and supports the environment day to day. It does not replace NTT DATA's official channel for product support and updates.
03Why train the team if the environment already works?+
An environment that works today depends on specific people understanding why each rule exists. When those people leave or change roles, the knowledge leaves with them if it was never passed on in a structured way. Training is how you reduce that dependence before it becomes a problem.
04Does training happen only once?+
It can happen at two different moments: once, right after implementation, to firm up the knowledge of the team taking over the new environment, or on an ongoing basis, as part of the support inside an AMS Fiscal contract, as the law changes and the team turns over.
05Who takes part in training: only the tax team?+
It depends on the scope. The typical core is the tax team and the GUEPARDO Tax key users, but IT and setup staff join when the topic is integration and Z rules, and leadership (CFO, Tax Director, CIO) joins executive sessions focused on risk and schedule, not on running the system.
06Does Tax Reform training change as the schedule moves forward?+
Yes. The technical content that matters in 2026 (symbolic pilot) differs from what will matter in 2027 (full CBS) and from what will matter between 2029 and 2033 (gradual replacement of ICMS and ISS by IBS). Training is updated for the current step. It is not a single, fixed set of material.
07Is this included automatically in every AMS Fiscal contract?+
Not necessarily as a standard item in every routine. The timing and exact format of training inside AMS Fiscal depend on the size of the environment and the need found, and the actual commercial decision must be confirmed directly with DFSpro.
08Does the team get any reference material to use later?+
Yes, reference material is part of the training format. Standard hours, certificate format, and other operational details must be confirmed directly with DFSpro for your specific case.
09Does training replace the setup documentation produced in a governance audit?+
No. They complement each other. The governance audit, described in GUEPARDO Tax Governance, documents what each rule does and why. Training teaches the team to read that documentation, to run the system day to day, and to know when to ask for specialist help.
10How does training differ from AMS Fiscal Stabilization?+
Stabilization is 90 days of intensive support right after a go-live, focused on containing incidents and stabilizing the tax close. Training can happen during that period, but its goal is different: to pass knowledge to the internal team, not to fight technical fires.
11How does training differ from Continuous Governance?+
Continuous Governance is a recurring contract in which DFSpro audits and keeps the setup correct over time. Training, in that setting, is the component that prepares the client's team to follow those audits with real technical understanding, instead of just receiving a report that no one inside can read alone.
12Does training include interpreting the company's tax position?+
No. Training explains how the system behaves, how a setting reflects a tax rule, and how to run GUEPARDO Tax in light of Tax Reform. The decision on which tax position to adopt in each case stays with the client, with its own legal and tax advisers.
13Do we need to be on S/4HANA to take this training?+
No. Training applies to both ECC and S/4HANAenvironments, because the content is about tax setup and how GUEPARDO Tax behaves, not about the platform version itself.
14Where do we start if we do not yet know the team's maturity level?+
The starting point is a talk with a specialist to understand the current state of the team and the environment. In many cases this links to the SAP Tax Diagnostic, which already shows where internal knowledge differs from what the environment really needs.
