The areas of SAP Tax Governance where we work
We are not SAP generalists or tax generalists. Each specialty solves one step of the tax cycle inside SAP: from diagnostic to ongoing maintenance, through the tax reform, everyday documents and filings, foreign trade and artificial intelligence. There are also supporting technical topics and training for the client's team.
DFSpro is a specialist in tax inside SAP: it implements, governs, migrates and runs the tax rollout, with or without GUEPARDO Tax. Depth in GUEPARDO Tax, a product of NTT DATA, is the proof of that specialty, and the tax decision stays with the client.
What DFSpro does in SAP tax
DFSpro implements, governs, migrates and runs the tax rollout inside SAP. The tax decision stays with the client.
We implement and set up
We set up and prove calculation, master data and custom code in SAP.
We migrate and run rollouts
Tax in the move to S/4HANA and in the rollout to new companies.
We govern and operate
From diagnostic to daily routine: we operate and govern tax in SAP.
We set up tax documents
We set up and prove NF-e (Brazil's electronic invoice), NFS-e, CT-e and MDF-e in SAP.
We structure filings and SPED
We set up SPED (Brazil's digital tax reporting system), EFD-Reinf and eSocial generation in SAP.
We design calculation and credits
We design and set up periodic tax calculation and tax credit in SAP.
We prepare for the tax reform
CBS and IBS (the new consumption taxes from the tax reform), split payment and alphanumeric CNPJ (the company tax ID) in SAP. The tax position is the client's decision.
We integrate and automate
We connect tax to other systems, to foreign trade and to SAP AI.
We deploy GUEPARDO Tax
A product of NTT DATA. DFSpro is an Authorized Channel, and deploys and governs the rules.

From design to daily work: what we implement, what we govern and what we migrate, with each service one click away.
The full map appears on wide screens (from 1024 px). At this size, the contents list just above shows the same nine areas and the same services.
Go to the services contentsWhat is in and what is not in our scope
For DFSpro, SAP Tax Governance is the set of practices, controls, setups and processes that give predictability, traceability and tax compliance inside an SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA environment, from the calculation of a tax to supporting a filing such as SPED when the environment changes.
What is in
- How SAP calculates a tax.
- How an invoice is created and sent.
- How a tax filing (SPED, for example) is calculated from real operation data.
- How all of this stays stable when the environment changes: a version update, a change in law or a business decision.
- How the electronic document, imports and exports reach the right tax posting.
- How the client's team learns to run and support the tax environment without relying on third parties.
What is not in
- Calculating and submitting a tax obligation on behalf of the client, as an accounting firm would.
- Selling an ERP or another management system. DFSpro is an Authorized Channel for GUEPARDO, a product of NTT DATA, and GUEPARDO Tax is the module it deploys and governs today.
- Tax setup outside an SAP environment.
- Deciding the tax position: which position to adopt, which credit to take, which reading of a rule to follow.
The tax decision itself always belongs to the client and its legal and tax team. We design, configure and prove how the system behaves; the tax position is never ours. If the problem is "SAP is not calculating, issuing or supporting an already decided tax rule correctly", that is within our scope; if the problem is "which tax position is correct", that belongs to the client's legal and tax team, and we work with them, never in their place.
How to know which specialty fits your situation
The specialties are not interchangeable: each one answers a different question about where your operation is. The most direct criterion is timing and symptom, not company size or sector.
You cannot yet see the risk
If your question is "what is my SAP not showing me", the starting point is the SAP Tax Diagnostic: a structured assessment that shows risk before any project proposal, without assuming what the next step will be.
You have just reached go-live
If the implementation or migration project ended recently and the first real tax close has not yet been proven in production, the area is AMS Fiscal Stabilization, focused on the first full tax cycle, not on long-term maintenance.
Your environment is already stable and must stay that way
If stability has already been proven and what is missing is not losing it over time, with law and operation changing, the area is AMS Fiscal Continuous Governance: permanent expert support, not a project with an end date.
Your concern is the Tax Reform
If the question is about CBS, IBS and the transition schedule (pilot in 2026, CBS in full effect in 2027), the specific area is CBS/IBS Tax Reform, with its own scope of tax architecture, separate from ongoing maintenance.
You are migrating from ECC to S/4HANA
If the project in progress is a version migration, the area is Migration ECC → S/4HANA, which deals specifically with the tax blind spot that ECC governance does not carry over automatically to the new architecture.
Your project talks about Clean Core
If a clean core is a migration guideline, the tax question is what stays standard and what needs an extension. The Clean Core applied to tax shows where the risk usually appears.
SAP Joule has already shown up in your environment
If SAP has already offered the AI copilot in a contract renewal, or the tax team is already testing the feature, the area is SAP Joule for Tax: governance before automation, so that an automatic answer does not turn into a tax calculation with no solid base.
You are assessing GUEPARDO Tax
If GUEPARDO Tax is not yet in your environment and the question is what it does and what changes in the operation, start with the product page. DFSpro sells the license as an Authorized Channel of NTT DATA and continues with governance after deployment.
GUEPARDO Tax is already live, but looks underused
If GUEPARDO Tax (from NTT DATA) is already deployed and the doubt is about undocumented setup, rules without a named owner or accumulated technical debt, the area is GUEPARDO Tax, a technical specialty on software already in production.
Your calculation rules have piled up exceptions
If the close became slow and the mismatch is recurring because the tax rules pile up exceptions with no review, the area is Tax setup in SAP: review of TAXBRA, J1BTAX, CFOP and tax categories, tested in the QA system.
The mismatch starts in the master data
If the rule is right and the tax comes out wrong, the problem is usually in the material, partner or location master data. The tax master data in SAP shows where it fails and how to check it.
An invoice that does not come in, or an event nobody acknowledged
If an invoice does not come in, an event was left without a response, or the tax posted differs from what the document states, the area is Electronic tax documents in SAP, which checks the tax layer of the flow, from invoice to posting.
SAP GRC NF-e will no longer be maintained and you need to decide
If the question is how to leave SAP GRC NF-e and choose between DRC and GUEPARDO Tax, the area is the migration from GRC NF-e to DRC: what moves, what stays and which layer fits each environment.
The SPED file must match the tax calculation
If the file sent to the tax authority must match what SAP calculated, the area is Tax reporting obligations and SPED in SAP: where each piece of data comes from and how to check the file before transmission.
Your business imports or exports
If imports, exports or DUIMP pass through SAP tax, the area is Foreign trade and DUIMP in SAP: what tax must have ready, from customs data to the entry invoice.
Your team needs to run it on its own
If the environment works, but only the people who built it know how to change it, the way out is to train the team: tailored training or the DFSpro SAP Tax Governance Program, with a practical test and a completion certificate.
You are an SAP consultancy and your client asks for tax work
If your client needs tax work and you do not want to build a team for it, the partnership for consultancies brings DFSpro's work to them.

A path of nine modules, a practical test and a completion certificate issued by DFSpro, for those who operate, deploy or support tax in SAP environments. The prerequisite is experience in SAP tax.
Specialty is not the only way in
Specialty is one of the three ways to read our work; the others are Industries (the sector your company works in) and Problems (the specific symptom you feel right now). If you already know which specialty you need, go straight to it; if not, spot the symptom in Problems or take the readiness assessment, which takes two minutes. For a term that was not clear, the glossary defines each one, and the frequently asked questions answer the doubts of those who are deciding.
Frequently asked questions about the specialties
01Do I need to choose a specialty before talking to you?+
No. If you are not sure which area fits your situation, the first conversation already helps to find out. The decision criteria above are a guide, not a requirement for contact.
02Can I need more than one specialty at the same time?+
Yes, this is common. A company migrating to S/4HANA may need Migration ECC to S/4HANA and, after that, Post-Go-Live Stabilization. The SAP Tax Diagnostic is usually the starting point that shows which areas make sense next.
03Do you decide which tax position my company should adopt?+
No. The tax decision always belongs to the client and its legal and tax team. We design, configure and prove how SAP behaves; the tax position itself is never our decision.
04What is the difference between AMS Fiscal Stabilization and AMS Fiscal Continuous Governance?+
Stabilization is support through the first full tax cycle in production, right after a go-live. Continuous Governance starts after that stability has been proven, and exists so that it is not lost over time.
05Does the SAP Tax Diagnostic already include fixing the problems found?+
The Diagnostic exposes and prioritizes the real risk, with a senior team, before any project proposal. The fix itself is defined with the client after the diagnostic, according to the nature and urgency of what was found.
06Do you work with companies that do not yet use GUEPARDO Tax?+
Yes. GUEPARDO Tax is one of the specialties, not a requirement for the others. Diagnostic, AMS Fiscal, Tax Reform and Migration ECC to S/4HANA apply whichever tax software is in use.
07How does the CBS/IBS Tax Reform relate to the other specialties?+
The Tax Reform changes the tax architecture of SAP, which can affect all the other areas: an environment in Continuous Governance, for example, must build CBS/IBS into its maintenance routine, not treat it as a separate project.
08I do not know whether my problem is one of specialty or of sector. Where do I start?+
Start with the symptom: see Problems if you recognize a specific pain now, or talk to us directly. Sector and specialty are complementary ways in, not exclusive ones.
09How long does a diagnostic or a stabilization take, on average?+
The SAP Tax Diagnostic usually takes 5 to 8 weeks. The length of a Post-Go-Live Stabilization or a Continuous Governance depends on the tax cycle and the scope agreed with the client, and is set case by case, never by one standard period.
10What does DFSpro not do, even inside these specialties?+
We do not replace the client's legal and tax team in deciding the tax position, we are not an accounting firm that calculates and submits obligations on the client's behalf, and we are not an ERP. See "What is in and what is not in our scope", above.
11Does DFSpro sell GUEPARDO Tax?+
Yes. GUEPARDO Tax is a product of NTT DATA, and DFSpro sells the license as an Authorized Channel. Those who already have the product hire its governance; those who do not yet have it can get to know it on the product page, and that is not a requirement for the other areas.
12Do you handle electronic invoices, SPED and imports, or only the reform and AMS?+
Yes. Electronic tax documents, tax reporting obligations and SPED, and foreign trade each have their own page. In all of them, the focus is the tax layer of SAP, from the source data to the posting or the file, checked before transmission.
13Does DFSpro train the client's team?+
Yes, in two ways: tailored training in GUEPARDO Tax and Tax Reform, and the DFSpro SAP Tax Governance Program with GUEPARDO Tax, with a practical test and a completion certificate issued by DFSpro.
14Can an SAP consultancy bring DFSpro's tax work to its client?+
Yes. The partnership for consultancies exists for this: the consultancy serves the client without building its own tax team.
Not sure yet which specialty applies to your case?
The SAP Tax Diagnostic is the most common starting point when there is still no clarity on where the risk is. If you prefer a first picture before the conversation, take the two-minute readiness assessment. If you already know which area you need, go straight to its page.
